Becky's
Apples and Cranberries

1 bag of Cranberries (about 2 cups)
3-4 Peeled chopped firm apples (about 3 cups) {Granny Smiths, Braeburns, Rome, McIntosh, Fuji - I usually go with 2 Granny Smith and 2 Braeburns}
2 Tbls flour
1 cup sugar
2 pkgs Instant Cinnamon & Spice Oatmeal (sometimes it is hard to find, you could try the cinnamon roll if you can't find cinnamon & spice)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 stick melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans - optional (I used pecans but I have used walnuts too)

Preheat oven to 350

In a bowl mix cranberries and apples together with 2 Tbls. flour

In a second bowl mix sugar, oatmeal, brown sugar and flour together

Combine fruit mixture with dry mixture and put in a 9 X 13 baking dish or casserole

Pour melted butter over top

Sprinkle nuts if desired

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender.
