GIFT PLANNING

A Legacy of Giving

YOUR GENEROSITY, OUR LONGEVITY
With gift planning, you can provide long-lasting support for 4-C while enjoying financial benefits for yourself.

Leave a Legacy

We are grateful to those who remember Community Coordinated Child Care through a bequest, life income plan, or other types of planned gift. Your support strengthens and ensures the future of Greater Louisville’s children and families. Through your commitment to 4-C, you support a cause that is important to you, while leaving a lasting legacy.

Below are some ways you can support Community Coordinated Child Care through your estate plan:

  • Name 4-C as the beneficiary of your life insurance policies; commercial annuities; retirement accounts; or checking, savings or other financial accounts.
  • Appreciated stock: making a gift of securities or real estate is simple and tax-efficient. Gifts of appreciated stock can reduce your capital gains and income taxes.
  • IRA Charitable Rollover: if you’re 70½ years old or older, you may be able to give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as 4-C without having to pay income taxes on the money.
  • Bequests: a gift to 4-C in your will or trust, also known as a charitable bequest, allows you to retain control of your funds and other assets during your lifetime.

Sample Gift Language:
“I give to Community Coordinated Child Care, currently located in Louisville, KY _________ (insert specific dollar amount or percentage) in support of its full mission. Federal tax identification number 23-7160437.”

For more information about how to include 4-C in your estate plans, please email Ashley Murray, Development Director of Advancement, or call her at 502-901-1636. Your tax or financial advisor can also offer you advice as to how to best maximize your tax liability as it relates to charitable giving.

Should you name 4-C in a planned gift, we would welcome a copy of the legal document or section of the document that accompanies your gift, to make estate administration easier when your gift matures.

Foundation, Family Foundation, or Donor-Advised Fund

If you are associated with a Foundation or Donor-Advised Fund and would like to designate 4-C as a recipient of a grant or donation, please email us. Foundation grants and contributions from private, family, corporate, and community foundations are important sources of support for 4-C

Unrestricted support and other grants make it possible for 4-C to meet the growing needs of families looking for child care and financial assistance to pay for it; provide professional development for child care providers in child development, nutrition, and more; and support essential capacity-building efforts.
