SUMMARY:Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma\, Child Physical Abuse\, and Safe Sleep
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator : Courtney Pearce \nThis training was designed for childcare providers and staff on recognition and prevention of Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma. Participants will learn the early signs of maltreatment and the various injuries and conditions that may result from vigorous shaking\, slamming or impacting the head of an infant or young child. They will also be provided tools for dealing with a crying infant and ways to share information with parents to prevent abuse from occurring. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. DESCRIPTION:Facilitator: Liz Walker \nParticipants will be introduced to the ASQ-3 (Ages & Stages Questionnaire) as a developmental screening tool to be used with families and within the classroom. SUMMARY:Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Training and Certification
DESCRIPTION:Facilitators: Darice Hancock \nThe Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course equips child care staff to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults\, children\, and infants. It is designed for child care staff who need a certification that satisfies regulatory requirements. This class is taught in a blended learning format. The 2 hour online portion (accessed via mobile\, desktop\, or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the 2 hour instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion\, a valid 2 year digital Red Cross certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued. Once you have registered\, a link to the online portion of the class will be sent via email within 2 business days. The online portion must be completed before the class date.
