SUMMARY:Strengthening Business Practices (Mini-Series) Session 2. Financial Reports and Internal Controls
DESCRIPTION:Strengthening Business Practices for Child Care Programs training series addresses basic concepts in fiscal and operational management of center-based child care programs. These trainings are grounded in the belief that strong and sustainable child care businesses can support program initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for children. In this session\, we will discuss financial reports and identify ways to help you better manage your program’s finances. We will also identify what internal controls are in a child care setting and how they can strengthen the fiscal health of your program. \nStrengthening Business Practices is an online series. In registering for this class\, you are registering for the entire four-part series. We will meet once a month for four months. SUMMARY:Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma
DESCRIPTION:This training was designed for child care providers and staff on recognition and prevention Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma. Participants will learn the early signs of maltreatment and the various injuries and conditions that may result from vigorous shaking\, slamming or impacting the head of an infant or young child. They will also be provided tools for dealing with a crying infant and ways to share information with parents to prevent abuse from occurring. Training objectives are to review the statistics of abusive head trauma; to define and describe abusive head trauma and its associated injuries; to discuss risk factors and prevention\, and to understand the outcomes for victims. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training.
