SUMMARY:The 5th Annual Heart Centered Teaching Virtual Institute - Planting a Seed of Care: Day Three
DESCRIPTION:Adventures in Risky Play: What is Your Yes?\nGo to the heart of risk-taking and children. As parents and educators working with young children\, we all have boundaries and feelings around what risky play should be allowed. Examine the cage of boundaries that we have created for ourselves and our children. Challenge each other to rattle our cage and discover where the lines are movable. In our role as educators and caretakers\, when we allow children to play and confront risk on their own terms\, we see them develop\, hold their locus of control and make choices on how to navigate the bumpy terrain of a situation. What better teaching tool for life is there? \nFeatured Speaker Rusty Keeler \n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nClick here to learn more about the Heart Centered Teaching Institute.\nJuly 20\, 2021 Day One: Keynote Speaker Kelly Ramsey – Get tickets \nJuly 24\, 2021 Day Two: Featured Speaker Nadia Jaboneta – Get tickets \nJuly 27\, 2021 Day Three: Featured Speaker Rusty Keeler – Tickets below \nAttend one day for $10 or all three for $25. SUMMARY:Strengthening Families Series - Parental Resilience
DESCRIPTION:Parental Resilience is the belief that families have the courage to get through stressful times and navigate a crisis. Our parental resilience has been tested and pushed to its limit over the past year. From NTI to working from home\, our families have been demonstrating a tireless commitment to their children and the workforce. Let’s discuss what each of us can do to support families and recognize this courage. 4-C hopes this session will examine your understanding of resilience\, which is not an innate gift that one receives at birth but instead is a skill we can all develop with intentionality. By the end of the session you will be able to define resilience and will be able to apply concrete skills that support the development of resilience. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair Charities Face It Movement. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. SUMMARY:Family Engagement
DESCRIPTION:Family engagement is about keeping connected to your families. What are the barriers to families being engaged in your program? How can we use virtual platforms to engage in meaningful interactions with families while supporting child-to-parent relationships? Join us to learn what other programs across the nation have done to connect with families in new and innovative ways. 4-C aims to give you some very practical examples of how to leverage technology in serving your families. In addition we hope to provide you with some considerations with redefining your family engagement moving beyond the basics and into the exceptional. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training.
