SUMMARY:Beyond the Checklist: The Invisible Skills of Professionalism in Early Childhood
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator  Liz Walker \nEarly childhood professionalism is often measured by what can be seen\, counted\, and checked off. But some of the most powerful teaching skills cannot be captured on a checklist. This training invites educators to explore the visible skills that are commonly assessed\, such as environment\, documentation\, and routines\, alongside the invisible skills that shape children’s learning every day. Participants will reflect on how nurturing relationships\, tone of voice\, consistency\, and emotional presence influence children’s sense of safety\, belonging\, and ability to learn. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. This training will be conducted via Zoom\, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer\, phone\, or tablet.
