SUMMARY:Strengthening Families: Social and Emotional Development
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator Liz Walker: \nThis training will help you understand how to support children in learning how to positively interact with others\, self-regulate their behaviors\, and effectively communicate their feelings – all of which have positive impacts on their relationships with family members\, other adults\, and peers. Challenging behaviors or delayed development can create extra stress for families\, so early identification and support for both parents and the child are critical to keeping children on track. It’s never easy to start these conversations\, and it can be hard to find the right resources. Join 4-C to discover some talking points\, local resources\, and more! By the end of the session\, you will feel more confident in understanding social-emotional development\, and in your ability to refer families to needed resources as challenges arise. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair Charities Face It Movement. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training.
