SUMMARY:Calmer Classrooms Start Outside
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator : Liz Walker \nBig emotions need big spaces to grow\, and nature provides the perfect classroom for helping children develop the social and emotional skills they need to thrive. During this training\, participants will explore how intentional outdoor experiences can reduce stress\, build resilience\, strengthen relationships\, and foster emotional regulation in young children. Through nature-based strategies and hands-on nature invitations\, educators will discover how their outdoor environments can encourage cooperation\, empathy\, problem-solving\, confidence\, and self-regulation while reducing challenging behaviors. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood. \nLocation: Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C) \n908 S. 8th Street\, Suite 201\, Louisville\, KY 40203 (Map) \nLevel 1 CDA 3 CC 4 Audience-All \n2 Credit Hours \nBy attending a professional development opportunity\, you are entering an area where photography\, audio and video recording may occur.
