SUMMARY:Director Essentials: Managing Conflict and Challenging Conversations
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator  Angie Kinser: \nConflict is something most people want to avoid; however\, challenges in an early childhood setting are inevitable. While it is a difficult part of the job\, situations that involve disagreement and tension offer opportunities for sharing and understanding others’ perspectives. In this training session\, participants will learn a three-step approach to managing confrontations\, conflicts\, and challenging conversations. Participants will learn how a reflective approach involves seeing these challenges as an opportunity to find resolutions. The training participants will learn strategies to be proactive to avoid conflicts and strategies to implement when challenging conversations\, and conflicts inevitably arise. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. This training will be conducted via Zoom\, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer\, phone\, or tablet.
