SUMMARY:Strengthening Families: Knowledge of Child Development
DESCRIPTION:Having accurate information about child development and an understanding of appropriate expectations for children’s behavior at every age helps parents see their children in a positive light and promotes their healthy development. Information can come from many sources\, including family members as well as parent education classes\, or even surfing the internet. Studies show information is most effective when it comes at the precise time parents need it to understand their own children. Parents who experienced harsh discipline or other negative childhood experiences may need extra help to change the parenting patterns they learned as children. Please join us to learn more about how you as an early childhood professional can support families for optimal outcomes for their family and community. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair Charities Face It Movement. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training.
