SUMMARY:Strengthening Families: Social Connections
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator  Liz Walker: \nThis session will explore the benefits of social connections for families within your program. When families feel connected and supported\, they can ask for help when needed. Friends\, family members\, neighbors\, and community members can provide emotional support\, help solve problems\, offer parenting advice\, and give concrete assistance to parents. Early Child Care Providers play a huge role in providing opportunities to connect parents together to expand their networks. Networks of support are essential to parents and offer opportunities for people to “give back”\, an important part of self-esteem\, as well as a benefit for the community. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair Charities Face It Movement. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. This training will be conducted via Zoom\, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer\, phone\, or tablet.
