DESCRIPTION:Facilitator : Liz Walker \nThis three-hour session invites early childhood educators to deepen their understanding of the Ages & Stages Questionnaires: Social-Emotional (ASQ:SE) and how it can be used as a supportive\, family-centered tool—not just a form. Through hands-on practice\, real scenarios\, and guided reflection\, participants will explore the “why” behind social-emotional screening\, what the ASQ:SE measures\, and how to confidently interpret results in a way that honors children’s strengths and supports families with empathy and respect. Educators will practice scoring\, reviewing cutoff areas\, and identifying red flags\, but they’ll also look beyond the numbers—recognizing behavior as communication\, understanding developmental influences\, and building supportive conversations with families.
