Positive Approaches to Learning
June 1 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- This event has passed.

Facilitator Angie Kinser:
Approaches to Learning refer to the behaviors and skills children use to engage in learning. Children’s experiences in early childhood settings can strengthen or diminish children’s positive approach to learning. Curiosity, initiative, persistence, problem-solving, cooperation, creativity, and focused attention are a few of the approaches to learning children develop through engaging play opportunities such as Invitations to Play.
During this session educators will learn the importance of children’s positive approach to learning and how children’s engagement directly impacts their success in school. Educators who attend this session will learn strategies they can use to support children’s development of approaches to learning through positive interactions, providing an environment with rich open-ended materials, and invitations to play.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
