March 2, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

Learn about what foods are nutritionally valuable and critical for the development of young children. From breastfeeding to selecting healthy cooking projects within your classroom, we will explore the important role nutrition plays in child care programs. We will discuss the most current licensing standards as they relate to nutrition and meals. The session will introduce providers to the concept of family style dining and brainstorm other ways to support children with establishing healthy relationships with food. We will also provide information on how to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which is a critical partner to 4-C!

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
