Director Essentials: Guiding Educators on Using the Pyramid Model to Address Challenging Behaviors

This training will focus on utilizing the Pyramid Model by the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL). Participants will learn about the underlying meanings of challenging behaviors and explore the vital role of preventive strategies in meeting the social and emotional needs of all children. Participants will learn about the importance of relationships to prevent challenging behavior. 

The training aims to equip staff with the skills to identify and address their own biases, fostering an understanding that behavior serves as a language for children. Directors will discuss and gain an understanding of their role in supporting staff to prevent challenging behaviors and how to support staff when challenging behaviors arise in the classroom.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
