Supporting Using Complex Math Concepts in the Classroom Part 2

May 10, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

This one hour Independent Study Module will be focus on how to support classroom interaction with math concepts through photos that will be required by the participants to take and upload. Teachers will upload pictures to an online platform called Padlet. Through Padlet teachers can upload images of math concepts the children are using and allow other participants to view in order to gain inspiration and ideas to take back to the classroom. Teachers will also be required to communicate on the Padlet to brainstorm ideas and to encourage more complex math concepts. This module will also support peer to peer learning to make a greater impact on the experiences that we want children to have. (Registration for Math Parts 1 and 3 not required to attend. Detailed instructions will be sent via email after registration closes. Participants will have two weeks to complete the module.)

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
