Understanding the Role Temperament Plays in Development and Learning

December 13, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

  • This event has passed.

Have you ever felt like you were mismatched with a child in your care? Do you ever wonder why some children are so highly active and others are not? Would you like to learn about how to manage these differences? Join us to learn how to support each dimension of temperament – even in mismatched situations. Temperament is not about perfect matches; it is about understanding and nurturing “goodness of fit”. Each participant will be asked to complete a reflection exercise related to a challenging child and their temperament in advance of the session. By the end of the session, educators will have an understanding of temperament, the role it plays in learning and development, as well as practices that can be used daily to foster “goodness of fit”.
