Outdoor Learning Environments

This eCourse will introduce teachers to using the outside as a learning environment to support children’s development. When providers understand the benefits of nature and how to transform a playground into an outdoor learning environment they can immediately see the outcomes if they know what to look for. This session will also guide educators to rethink their outside play area as a space to support curiosity and development.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
