During this training participants will learn the importance of safe sleep strategies in their program and have these discussions with families.  The Safe Sleep Campaign in Kentucky seeks to prevent and reduce SIDS related infant death. Participants will be able to identify dangers in unsafe sleep settings and learn how to provide a safe sleep setting to infants in their care. This course will cover what is a safe sleep environment as well as the importance of other recommendations such as breastfeeding and tummy time.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
