Level 1 CDA 1 CC 4 Audience – All Early Childhood
Technology is a powerful tool in early childhood education when used intentionally and appropriately. This self-paced training will guide new early childhood educators in understanding how to effectively integrate technology into learning experiences for children under the age of five. Participants will explore how young children learn best and how technology can support development, the positive and negative impacts of technology in early childhood settings, best practices for choosing high-quality digital content, and strategies for balancing technology with hands-on learning experiences. Through engaging videos, reflections, and interactive activities, participants will gain practical skills to make informed decisions about when, why, and how to use technology in their classrooms. By the end of this course, participants will feel confident in their ability to use technology in a way that enhances children’s learning while prioritizing active, play-based experiences.
This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
