KEEP Career Training Program

Preparing educators for classroom success

The KEEP (Kentucky Early Educator Pool) Career Training Program is a comprehensive professional development and training model designed to help new teachers enter the early childhood workforce ready to educate in a child care center.

4-C provides all the tools, training, and guidance you need to get started as a child care teacher. Training is provided at your own pace. Plus you will earn stipends as you train! Our Career Navigator will provide personalized support, coaching, and advice as you complete the program and beyond.

What the program provides:

  • Complete 25 hours of online training, including state-mandated Orientation and Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma
  • First Aid/CPR/AED training
  • Earn up to a $1,200 educational stipend for completing the training requirements (tiered stipends paid as you train)
  • Career Navigator support - help with resume writing, interview skills, and professional development resources
  • Potential for continuing education to obtain Child Development Associate (CDA)

Requirements:

  • No prior early childhood experience required
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a background check and have verification that you are free of active tuberculosis (check and testing provided at no cost to the candidate)
