- This event has passed.
Facilitator : Abigail Black
This training is designed to help early childhood educators understand and support the emotional intensity young children often display. Participants will explore the developmental roots of big emotions, the impact of temperament, and the vital role of co-regulation in helping children to manage their feelings. Within the training, the participants will have hands-on activities, real-life scenarios, and practical tools to demonstrate how to create an emotionally safe environment that nurtures resilience, connection, and self-regulation. This training emphasizes empathy, responsive caregiving, and the importance of adult emotional presence in guiding children through overwhelming moments.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
