February 12, 2025 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
- This event has passed.
Facilitator : Angie Kinser
In this training, directors will gain an understanding of the value of play in young children’s development and explore why it is fundamental for lifelong learning. Participants will also learn strategies to encourage and model the importance of adult play, and strategies to communicate the value of play effectively to families, helping them understand that play is not only fun but essential to healthy development. Through discussions, evidence-based insights, and a video with questions directors will leave prepared to discuss the importance of play with parents, encourage adult play, and build a curriculum that values play as a foundation of early childhood education.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
