Facilitator Angie Kinser:
In this session, educators will learn how young children can begin to use and understand mathematical concepts in their play and daily interactions. Educators attending this training session will learn how to incorporate math concepts in everyday interactions and how to use loose parts to teach math skills and standards. This session will teach how to provide materials in all areas of the classroom to build early math skills. Educators will gain an understanding of how to identify what math standards children are learning while exploring materials and engaging in play.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
