Six Hour Saturday – How Children Play Their Way to Learning!

Each 3 hour class will focus on how children learn from play. Join us for a dynamic day of professional development with hands-on explorations and lively discussion! Participants will rotate between two classrooms with two different trainers. We will take a 30 minute lunch break, so please bring your lunch.
The Teacher’s Role in Play– J. Carlson – Explore fundamental concepts surrounding play-based learning and the teacher’s role. Learn how to observe play, guide play, reflect about the importance of play and how to share critical information to families.
Leave No Child Inside – L. Walker – Explore the benefits of spending time outdoors and how to cultivate an outdoor learning environment to uncover the powers of the natural world. (Participants may go outside. Please dress accordingly.)
