Strengthening Families: Social and Emotional Competence of Children
August 17, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- This event has passed.

Social and Emotional Competence of Children will help you understand how to support children in learning how to positively interact with others, self-regulating their behaviors, and effectively communicating their feelings – all of which have positive impacts on their relationships with family members, other adults, and peers. Challenging behaviors or delayed development can create extra stress for families, so early identification and support for both parents and the child are critical to keep children on track. It’s never easy to start these conversations, and it can be hard to find the right resources. Join 4-C to discover some talking points, local resources, and more! By the end of the session, you will feel more confident in understanding social-emotional development, and in your ability to refer families to needed resources as challenges arise.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair Charities Face It Movement.
