Supporting Social & Emotional Development Through Nature
January 22 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- This event has passed.
Facilitator: Liz Walker
Step outside and rediscover how nature can calm, connect, and inspire young children. This engaging three-hour training invites early childhood educators to explore how outdoor play and natural materials nurture self-regulation, empathy, and cooperation. You’ll experience hands-on activities, connect the Kentucky Early Learning Standards to nature-based learning, and leave with practical ideas for creating emotionally rich, peaceful spaces where children (and teachers!) thrive.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
