Nature & Inquiry Community of Practice Session 4: The importance of children becoming more involved with nature

Understanding our role in supporting a healthier planet starts with children’s dispositions and attitudes that can be honed to become more conscious of how we interact with nature. This session will go in depth about how educators can support environmental stewardship in young children through their practices. In addition, teachers will gain the knowledge to understand how nature can offer an unlimited resource of beauty and learning while combating climate change through text, reflective dialogue and video.

The Nature & Inquiry Community of Practice will meet monthly on the third Thursday from 12:30-2:30 pm EST through June 2022. The cost is free. Each COP is approved for 2 hours of ECE-TRIS credit.
