Seeing to Understand: Turning Observation into Visible Learning

This training is designed to help early childhood educators harness the power of observation to make learning visible. Observation is more than just watching—it’s the foundation for authentic assessment and meaningful documentation. In this interactive session, participants will explore different observation techniques, discover strategies for turning observations into rich learning stories, and learn how to use documentation to inform assessment. Through hands-on activities, educators will practice capturing and interpreting children’s learning experiences in ways that support growth, communicate progress to families, and enhance curriculum planning. Join us to gain practical tools that will transform how you observe, document, and assess young children’s learning!
