Facilitator : Angie Kinser

Emergent Curriculum is a child-centered approach to teaching that fosters meaningful and engaging learning experiences. This training will equip directors with the knowledge and tools to support educators in creating responsive curricula based on children’s interests, inquiries, and everyday experiences. Participants will explore how observation and intentional reflection guide the planning process and opportunities for authentic learning. We will discuss key components of the Cycle of Inquiry, including the role of reflection in continuously informing and enhancing daily practices. The participants will learn how to design a curriculum that evolves naturally from their children’s curiosity, promoting their development and love for learning.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
