Facilitator : Liz Walker
Join us for a hands-on training session in the beautiful setting of Chickasaw Park, where we’ll explore how nature can be a powerful tool to support children’s holistic development. Through guided observation activities, a reflective walk, and interactive discussions, participants will discover how natural environments can foster growth across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains. This training will inspire educators to incorporate nature-based learning into their classrooms and create meaningful outdoor experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and connection in young children. This session is perfect for early childhood educators looking to deepen their understanding of the developmental benefits of nature and gain practical ideas for incorporating outdoor learning into their practices.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by Metro United Way through a grant from The American Rescue Plan through Metro City Government.
