Level 1 CDA 8 CC 1 Audience – All Early Childhood
This training provides an introduction to child development and some of the key theories that help us understand how children grow, learn, and thrive. Participants will explore foundational concepts such as the five domains of development and learn about the work of influential theorists including Piaget, Vygotsky, Montessori, Bronfenbrenner, Erikson, and Maslow. Through short videos, interactive questions and quizzes, participants will reflect on what they already know, build new knowledge, and apply what they’ve learned to real-life early childhood settings.
This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
