Everyday Math Play
August 19 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Facilitator : Angie Kinser
In this session, participants will gain knowledge and skills for creating experiences that are rich in loose parts and open-ended materials that will build early math skills. Participants will learn how to promote and encourage children to think mathematically as they explore loose parts in all areas of the classroom. Participants will learn different mathematical concepts that will extend a child’s math thinking and will learn how these concepts align with the school readiness standards, as well as how to identify the standards as children play and explore.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
