Nurturing Early Language: Building Strong Foundations Through Meaningful Interactions
September 29 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Facilitator : Mavie Leon-Diaz
This training explores the importance of language and communication in early childhood and how positive interactions support children’s overall development and learning. Participants will examine how children develop communication skills through play, conversations, storytelling, music, routines, and everyday experiences. Educators will explore strategies to create language-rich environments that encourage vocabulary development, active listening, self-expression, social interaction, and early literacy skills. Through hands-on activities, reflection, and practical examples, participants will gain tools to intentionally support communication and meaningful relationships with children and families.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
