The Reggio Emilia Approach Overview: Part One

In this training, participants will be introduced to the main principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach for early childhood. In Session One, we will begin by discussing the history and values that shaped the creation of the Reggio Emilia schools, the principle of the “Image of the Child” as a foundation in which children are seen as competent and capable learners, and the idea of the “Environment as the Third Teacher” which explores the essential and active role of the classroom materials and design and the role of the educator as a researcher.

This training will be conducted via Zoom, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer, phone, or tablet. All classes are on Eastern Standard Time.
