Director Essentials: Supporting Social-Emotional Growth in Early Childhood Programs

Strong social and emotional development is the foundation for children’s learning, behavior, and lifelong success. In this training for early childhood directors, participants will explore how to support the development of secure relationships, emotional regulation, empathy, and social skills across classrooms and programs.

Directors will examine the role leadership plays in shaping environments where social-emotional learning is embedded into daily routines, interactions, and curriculum. Through reflection and discussion, participants will identify strategies for coaching teachers, strengthening classroom practices, and creating consistent approaches that support children’s emotional needs.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
