Calmer Classrooms Start Outside
October 29 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Facilitator : Liz Walker
Big emotions need big spaces to grow, and nature provides the perfect classroom for helping children develop the social and emotional skills they need to thrive. During this training, participants will explore how intentional outdoor experiences can reduce stress, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and foster emotional regulation in young children. Through nature-based strategies and hands-on nature invitations, educators will discover how their outdoor environments can encourage cooperation, empathy, problem-solving, confidence, and self-regulation while reducing challenging behaviors.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
