Director Essentials: Creating A Healthy Organizational Climate

Organizational climate describes workers’ collective perceptions of conditions that exist in the workplace. Healthy climates are characterized by a sense of belonging, warm and caring interactions, and a collective sense of purpose. This session will focus on the ten dimensions of organizational climate. Directors will learn the importance of assessing their organizational climate and ways to measure and monitor their center’s climate. They will understand the vital role they play in setting the tone for success.  Participants will learn steps to take to improve their center’s organizational climate in an effective way to increase staff morale, enhance their program quality, and reduce staff turnover.
