Director Essentials – The Positive Impact of Nature on Children and Educators

Research shows that incorporating natural elements into our classrooms and allowing children to spend time outdoors in natural settings is beneficial for all areas of development. It is beneficial for adults too! In this session we will discuss ways to bring the outside into our centers, as well as hear from other directors who have taken steps to encourage their staff to use their playground spaces as true outdoor classrooms. Get inspired to get back to nature in small or big ways from installing small gardening areas to complete natural playground renovations.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.

This training will be conducted via Zoom, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer, phone, or tablet. All classes are on Eastern Standard Time.
