Director Essentials: The Power of Human Connection

We live in a time when it is easier to hop on a virtual training session or complete an eCourse than to attend in-person training. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we learned and became accustomed to the convenience of attending a training session online, but convenience does not always mean better. There is a power in human connection that cannot be replicated using technology and a laptop or smartphone device. During this session, participants will explore the topic of human connection and the role face-to-face training plays in building resilience. When adults build connection and resiliency, they can then model these skills for children and other adults. Participants will be engaged in various activities that include having conversations that matter. According to Paul J. Meyer, “Communication and human connection is the key to personal and career success.” Are you ready to learn about the power of human connection? Let’s have conversations that matter. Matter to whom? Matters to you.
