Exploring STEAM in Early Childhood Education

Educators will learn about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in early childhood education in this training. Participants will learn strategies and ideas to incorporate STEAM play experiences into their curriculum; fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills in young children. The educators will engage in hands-on STEAM activities to develop their knowledge and skills in offering STEAM classroom activities. Participants will brainstorm and participate in small group discussions to identify ways to come up with ideas to offer these activities in their classrooms.
Upon completing this training, educators will have the knowledge, tools, and strategies to integrate STEAM principles and activities into their early childhood education programs.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
