December 17, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
- This event has passed.
This session will focus on the development of communication and language skills in infants and toddlers. Educators will develop an understanding of both verbal and nonverbal communication in the newborn while gaining knowledge of language development in infancy through the toddler years. By the end of the session, educators will be able to identify language milestones for infants and toddlers, understand the importance of cultivating and nurturing effective communication in the classroom, understand the role the educator can play in promoting effective communication, and how to organize the physical and social environment to promote effective communication during daily routines.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Regional Collaborative through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
