Join local author and early childhood educator Paul Harshaw as he reads his children’s book, “Silo and Plyler’s Derby Horse Adventure.” Silo and Plyler just found out about this fantastic horse race in Louisville, Kentucky called the Kentucky Derby. They are so excited that they want to enter a derby horse of their own. They only have one problem: being from Antarctica, they have never seen a horse before and have no idea what one looks like. Can you help Silo and Plyler find a Derby Horse in time for the big race? Participants will have an opportunity to ask Mr. Paul questions about his writing and how his work supports early literacy skills. Through a gracious donation of Holland Brown Publishing, each participant will receive a free copy of “Silo and Plyler’s Derby Horse Adventure” for their classroom.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.
