Nature & Inquiry Community of Practice Session 2: Green Spaces in an Urban Setting

Dive deep into children’s rights to play and how to support nature play in an urban setting. During brainstorming sessions, participants will use a risk management protocol to think about the barriers that they have to access nature and what would it take to mitigate risk. Participants will also reimagine their playground and what could be done to allow more natural material for the children to use in their play and the importance of green spaces.

The Nature & Inquiry Community of Practice will meet monthly on the third Thursday from 12:30-2:30 pm EST through June 2022. The cost is free. Each COP is approved for 2 hours of ECE-TRIS credit.

COPs in 2022 are being planned as virtual events with the potential for in person opportunities in the future.
