Nature & Inquiry Community of Practice Session 5: Taking it outside!

This training is to help educators to think about how children can use outside as a platform for learning. In this session, educators will explore what an outdoor classroom can offer children v/s inside a classroom. Teachers will go in-depth about how to recognize the different types of learning that happens in a natural environment. When the environment is set up with intentionality children are able to understand what the environment is telling them to do. In addition practitioners will brainstorm ideas on how they can offer and/or enhance their outdoor space that facilitates learning just like a typical classroom that supports curiosity, imagination, and interactions with peers.

The Nature & Inquiry Community of Practice will meet monthly on the third Thursday from 12:30-2:30 pm EST through June 2022. The cost is free. Each COP is approved for 2 hours of ECE-TRIS credit.
