Orientation

This six hour professional development workshop provides overviews of child abuse/neglect, developmentally appropriate practices, and health & safety practices. It is required of all new child care staff within the first 90 days of hire. This class will be taught in two 2-hour zoom classes with homework in between for a total of 6 hours of content. You must be able to participate in both classes (Tuesday, June 7 6:30 – 8:30 PM and Thursday, June 9 6:30 – 8:30 PM) and complete the required assignment to receive credit for this class.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.

Notice: This is an online class. Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. This training will be conducted via Zoom, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer, phone, or tablet. All classes are on Eastern Standard Time.
