Communities of Practice Session 6: Parks and Play Day!
Parks, Play, and Parents is a highly interactive in-person session delivered at Broad Run Park. During this session, participants will explore the power of play by investigating the park and engaging in hands-on learning. During our time together we will reflect upon the importance of play in our lives and learn how to share the value of play with parents. The participants will engage in nature observations and explore the park with guides to discover firsthand the benefits nature can add to your life! By the end of the session, early childhood professionals will know how to plan for outdoor adventure and play-based experiences with families in their care and community!
Our Communities of Practice have been meeting monthly since January 2022. This professional development opportunity is the culminating event for our spring 2022 Communities of Practice. The cost is free. Each COP is approved for 2 hours of ECE-TRIS credit.
Location: Broad Run Park, Ogle Foundation Woodland Pavilion, 11551 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40291
