Participants will read NAEYC article “Culturally Responsive Strategies to Support Young Children with Challenging Behavior” and be prepared to discuss during the live session. Participants will further explore five culturally responsive core strategies to promote positive teacher relationships with young children and minimize challenging behavior: learn about children and families, develop and teach expectations, take the child’s perspective, teach and model empathy, and use group times to discuss conflict.
Notice: This is an online class. Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. This training will be conducted via Zoom, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer, phone, or tablet.
