School Readiness Series – Social and Emotional Development – The Nature Way!

January 31, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

Have you noticed how eager children are to go outside? Children naturally want to be outside. So, why not encourage more play outside when there are so many benefits beyond the frivolous thoughts of outdoor play? This training will focus on understanding the importance of how nature allows children experiences that support their social and emotional development. In addition, educators will gain a better understanding on how to see children use nature as an important factor for self regulation through small group and large group play.

This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood.

Notice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training. This training will be conducted via Zoom, and you will be required to participate via video and audio through a computer, phone, or tablet. All classes are on Eastern Standard Time.
