Strengthening Families: Nurture and Attachment
November 4, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- This event has passed.

This training will provide ECE educators with knowledge about the importance of nurture and attachment from the Kentucky Strengthening Families model. Research shows that babies who receive affection and nurturing from their parents have the best chance of developing into children, teens and adults who are happy, healthy and possess individual-level protective factors, such as relational, self-regulation and problem solving skills. When the parent-child relationship is strong, a family will thrive under any condition and abuse would be less likely to occur. As ECE providers are in contact with parents on a regular basis, it is important to recognize, model and support positive interactions for optimal outcomes for the families that are in our community.
This workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair Charities Face It Movement.
